The Oceania Customs Organisation (OCO) Secretariat invites suitably qualified individuals to submit an Expression of Interest (Eol) for a short-term Communication Specialist consultancy based at the OCO Secretariat in Suva, Fiji.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement communication plans, campaigns and messaging aligned with OCO’s strategic priorities.
- Coordinate and edit the OCO regional newsletter, public information materials, infographics and media kits.
- Develop and manage approved campaigns and audience engagement for OCO’s official Facebook and LinkedIn pages.
- Review and update OCO website content and recommend improvements to layout, accessibility and usability.
- Prepare media releases, statements, talking points and executive speeches.
- Monitor communication activities and report on audience reach and engagement.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations or a related field.
- At least 4-5 years’ relevant experience in strategic communications, public relations, digital communications or media relations.
Proven experience managing corporate social media, websites and graphic design tools.
- Strong portfolio of high-quality communication materials.
- Excellent written and spoken English, with strong attention to detail.
- Pacific regional, governmental or development organisation experience is an advantage.
REMUNERATION
An attractive all-inclusive daily rate will be offered, commensurate with qualifications, experience and technical portfolio evaluation.
