Invitation to Submit an Offer for National Environment Specialist – Bootless Bay
Description of the Assignment: National Environment Specialist for Bootless Bay under the Blue Green Islands Integrated Project – Global Environment Fund (GEF 8) The Local Environment Consultant will support the design and implementation of nature-based solutions (NbS), marine pollution reduction, and circular economy initiatives in targeted coastal communities. The role includes conducting environmental and socio-economic assessments, supporting ecosystem restoration and sustainable livelihoods, engaging stakeholders and communities, delivering capacity-building activities, contributing to policy and planning processes, monitoring project results, and documenting lessons learned. Working closely with government, communities, and project partners, the consultant will help develop inclusive, sustainable, and scalable approaches that strengthen coastal resilience, reduce marine pollution, and promote sustainable resource management.
Period of assignment/services: 220 days across 40 months from October 2026 to February 2030
