Tender Reference Number: MTB W01/2026

Name of Project: Construction of Girls’ Dormitory Fencing at King George VI (KGVI) National Secondary School, East Honiara (Phase 1).

The Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development (MEHRD) has budget funding for the following works and now invites interested eligible Contractors to submit tenders for the provision of construction works. Full details are provided in the attached Drawings, Bill of Quantities and Scope of Works.

Bidding will be conducted through the Competitive Tendering procedure specified in the SIG Financial Instructions 2010 and the Procurement and Contract Administration Manual, and is open to all eligible Tenderer. The contract will be awarded the lowest responsive evaluated tender.

A complete set of Tender documents in English may be obtained by interested Tenderer on the submission of a personal or written application to MEHRD Procurement Unit at the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development or email Anita Ringi at ARingi@mehrd.gov.sb, Theresa Saveke at TSaveke@mehrd.gov.sb and Isaac Manu at IManu@mehrd.gov.sb.

The tenderer is required to provide:

  1. Copies of original documents defining the constitution or legal status, place of registration, and principal place of business of the Tenderer; written power of attorney of the signatory of the Tender to commit the Tenderer;
  2. Total monetary value of construction works performed for each of the last three years;
  3. Experience in works of a similar nature and size for each of the last three years, and details of work under way or contractually committed; and Purchasers who may be contacted for further information on those contracts;
  4. Major items of construction equipment proposed to carry out the Contract;
  5. Qualifications and experience of key site management and technical personnel proposed for the Contract;
  6. Reports on the financial standing of the Tenderer, such as profit and loss statements and auditor’s reports for the past three years;
  7. Evidence of adequacy of working capital for this Contract (access to line(s) of credit and availability of other financial resources);
  8. Authority to seek references from the Tenderer’s bankers and previous works
  9. Information regarding any litigation, current or during the last three years, in which the Tenderer was/is involved, the parties concerned, and the disputed amounts; and awards;
  10. Evidence of payment of insurance policies as outlined in the Contract Form

Tenders, comprising the documents identified in the Instruction to Tenderers (ITT), and following the requirements of ITT, must be delivered to the address below at or before 2:00pm Thursday 2 July 2026. Tenders shall be valid for a period of 90 days after the deadline of Tender submission. Late or incomplete Tenders will be rejected. Tenders will be opened in the presence of the Tenderers’ representatives who choose to attend at the address below at 2:00pm Thursday 2nd July 2026.
