The Government of Papua New Guinea has received financing from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of the Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Security and Resilience Improvement Project (UWSSSRIP). Part of this financing will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to Bidders from eligible source countries of ADB.
Water PNG Limited (“the Employer”) invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders for the construction and completion of UWSSSRIP-Plant-01: Mount Eriama Water Treatment Plant (WTP) Master Valves & Lime Dosing (“the Works”).
Open competitive bidding – International advertisement will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single-Stage: Two-Envelope procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible countries as described in the Bidding Document.
Only eligible Bidders with the following key qualifications defined in the Bidding Document may participate in this bidding: a) Minimum average annual turnover of US$ 8.0m. b) Financial resources to meet or exceed the total requirement for the Subject Contract of US$ 1.0m. c) Participation in at least two contracts within the last 5 years that are similar to the proposed contract, where the value of the Bidder’s participation under each contract exceeds US$ 3.0m. d) Similarity to be based on the construction and commissioning of a plant or system including:
Media filtration
Chemical dosing e) A minimum experience in the following key activities:
Design, supply, installation and commissioning of control panels for media filtration and chemical dosing
Design, supply and installation of low-pressure stainless-steel pipework (alternative technical solution)

To obtain the Bidding Documents in English, eligible Bidders should:
write to the address above requesting the Bidding Documents for UWSSSRIP-Plant-01: Mount Eriama Water Treatment Plant (WTP) Master Valves & Lime Dosing; and
pay a non-refundable fee of PGK 1,000.
Deliver your bid:
to the address: Water PNG Limited, Level 2, Twin Merlion Business Centre, Section 122, Allotment 10, Cobon Street, Geauta Drive, Gordons, Port Moresby;
on or before the deadline 15 July 2026 at 02:30 PM (POM time); and
together with a Bid-Securing Declaration as described in the Bidding Document. Bids will be opened promptly after the deadline for bid submission in the presence of Bidders’ representatives who choose to attend.
The Employer will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by Bidders in connection with the preparation or delivery of bids.
